Support the Red Cross

If you've seen the pictures and heard accounts of the devastating earthquakes in Haiti, you probably can't avoid feeling helpless. But a monetary donation towards this cause is the single most effective way you can help at this point. While there are many heartfelt organizations, both private and charitable, that are collecting donations for Haiti, the American Red Cross is the concentrated authority. Please consider making a donation to the Red Cross to support relief efforts. You can pledge a donation online by clicking on the Red Cross banner above.

Beyond the Blues: A Benefit for Peter Case

On January 15, 2009, three-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter-guitarist Peter Case underwent emergency open-heart surgery. The surgery was successful and Peter is now on a long program of recovery, and is expected to make a full recovery.  The medical bills associated with this necessary surgery and recovery are, and will continue to be, very high. And, like all too many talented working artists, Peter does not have medical insurance. Beyond the Blues: A Benefit for Peter Case will take place at the Continental Club in Austin, Texas on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Austin musicians will gather to perform his songs and raise money to help Peter with his mounting medical bills. 

Hidden Love Medical Relief is an effort by Peter’s friends, fans and fellow artists to help alleviate the burden of these mounting medical bills so that Peter can recover, get back and focus on what he does best – writing and performing his songs. No one involved with Hidden Love is going to make money on this endeavor. That's not the point. All money raised through this effort and the Hidden Love Benefit Concert will be applied to Peter’s medical expenses. The idea behind Hidden Love is that acts of Love – big or small – are often hidden. We, and you, are doing this because we care for Peter and for his work and feel deeply that, at the end of the day, we need to take care of each other.
